"Opalised Coral Ball" - Gypsum Crystal Replacement. #02

The #02 Coral Ball listed here is an excellent small specimen of this Opal replacement Gypsum mineral. It has tiny views of purple opal tones present.

This is what we commonly call on field an "Opalised Coral Ball'. Opal has replaced the previous gypsum crystal structure making it a wonderfully unusual piece to add to your Opal Collection.

Note : "Coral Balls' were previously commonly mistaken as an Opal Pineapple. Recently we have confirmed with geologists these are in-fact a gypsum replacement & not of the ikaite mineral structure.
