Opal Belemnite Fossil

This is a beautiful specimen of an Opalised Belemnite Fossil found in White Cliffs NSW, Australia.

Most Opalized Belemnites are found only on the Australian Opal fields. 

Belemnites are ancient Cephalopods from around 100 million years ago. Ancient cephalopods were squid like creatures that are related to the Octopus & Cuttlefish.

This has been a much loved Collectors item & is being offered for sale for the first time.

The price reflects the uniqueness of the intact, unrestored specimen. 

It is extremely rare to find such a long Belemnite that has been unearthed in one piece.
